International law firm, Appleby, is set to merge with Dickinson Cruickshank, the largest law firm on the Isle of Man, coming into effect on 1 October 2009. The merger will make Appleby the largest offshore law firm by number of partners, according to the firm. Investment banking and brokerage firm, Stephens, has hired two institutional sales veterans. Joined by new managing director Will Rowley, Thomas E Goss Jr will head the International equity sales team in New York. Goss joins from Lehman Brothers/Barclays Capital, while Rowley was formerly at the Bank of America/Merrill Lynch. E...
