Friends Provident International (FPI) has hired Omar Shelbaya as head of Middle East bancassurance to lead its increased regional focus in the growing sector. Shelbaya joins from Allianz Egypt where he was head of bancassurance and corporate sales. At FPI he will work to increase the company's market share within the bancassurance sector, plus build on existing agreements in the region. Shelbaya will also develop new products and funds for different client segments in different countries across the Middle East.
