An online tool enabling businesses and their advisers to calculate how much shareholder or partnership protection they need has been launched by Legal & General (L&G).
The tool recommends levels of cover based on individual shareholdings and allows the adviser to show what the financial impact on a business would be if a shareholder or partner died or was diagnosed with a critical illness. Its launch follows L&G research recalculating the so-called protection gap at £1.1trn, £400bn of which was shareholder or partnership protection.
