The Organisation of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) has appointed Douglas H Shulman of the US as new chair of the OECD's Forum on Tax Administration (FTA), which allows tax commissioners from 41 advanced economies to develop new ides to improve tax administration across the globe. Shulman currently serves as commissioner of the United States Internal Revenue Service (IRS), having previously been vice chairman of the US Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and vice chairman of the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD).
