Confidence in the property market is growing, with more people buying properties rather than remortgaging their existing home, according to figures from moneysupermarket.com.
The website noted a 20% rise in the number of searches for house purchase mortgages since January while searches for remortgages fell by a third at the end of August. Moneysupermarket.com says the trend could be an indicator of increasing confidence in the property market.
