Manchester Met team grabs university IFA award

A team from Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) has scooped the Seven Investment Management (7IM) University Financial Planning Team Challenge Cup, designed to attract fresh blood into the advisory world.

The winning team, which came from MMU for the second year running, won the award due to its technical knowledge, client proposals and presentation. With the RDR on the horizon, the need to attract new entrants into the financial advisory and planning world has never been so important, says 7IM. The winning team, consisting of Dale Morgan, Anna Novitskaya and Justin Urquhart Stewart, received a cheque for £1,500 as their prize. Dennis Hall, director of Yellowtail Financial Planning and chairman of the London branch of the IFP, praised the winners' confidence and professionalism. ...
