Some of the UK's leading alternative asset providers will take part in a mock trial next month, charged with convincing advisers of the merits of investing in asset classes apart from shares, bonds or cash.
In a mock case, four providers will take the stand at the historic court of Nottingham's Galleries of Justice on 21 October, to defend structured investment solutions, absolute return funds, ETFs and thematic collective investment products. Chris Taylor, chief executive at Blue Sky Asset Management, will represent the structured product industry, while Mark Lyttleton, manager of BlackRock's UK Absolute Alpha fund will offer evidence for absolute return funds.
