Two-thirds of borrowers seek face-to-face mortgage advice

A total of 65% of borrowers would only take out a mortgage after speaking with an adviser face-to-face, according to a YouGov survey for Deloitte.

The survey also showed 21% of banking customers have moved their account over the past two years due to their dissatisfaction with the way their bank has treated them, highlighting the need for banks to ensure they are focused on customer service. The existence and accessibility of branches, along with face-to-face interaction, remains a key consideration for customers, the survey reveals.
