PruProtect has released a more affordable version of its life and critical illness policy.
Features including automatic children's cover, guaranteed insurability options and immediate cover have been removed, but customers can upgrade to the existing policy. It does however include severity-based cover and the Vitality incentive programme. The Essentials plan is available online only through IFAs and is intended as a support to their existing PruProtect plan.
