Henderson and Gartmore the big winners at IT Awards

Henderson Global Investors and Gartmore were the two big winners in last night's annual Investment Week Investment Trust of the Year Awards.

Henderson won the main prize for the night being named group of the year, just ahead of Gartmore which won two individual categories and was shortlisted in other categories. Gartmore landed the UK smaller companies prize with its Gartmore UK Growth trust, and Gartmore European won the Europe category. Henderson was described by the judges as a group ‘which consistently displays an ongoing, long-term commitment to the investment trust sector seeking to combine shareholder returns with good corporate governance.'
