Legal & General is reducing premiums for people applying for a critical illness policy where cover for cancer has been excluded.
The provider believes this will provide a fairer system which will save people a lot money. Russ Whitworth, underwriting and claims director for protection at Legal and General said: "We felt that there was scope to cut premiums for people who are excluded from cover for cancer, but still support other conditions, including heart attack and stroke.
