Bupa is set to provide early intervention and return-to-work support on all its group income protection (GIP) schemes with no increase in premiums.
The change, available in the New Year, comes following customer and intermediary feedback, and will see dedicated claims assessors and nurses allocated to each case. Bupa says this will enable targeted return-to-work interventions and guidance according to individual needs. Employees will no longer need to complete lengthy claims forms, as a trained nurse will call or visit to gather details and provide full support from an early stage.
