All Canada Life small scheme (below 50 lives) Group Life assurance business transacted via the CLASS (Canada Life Automated Self Service) online portal is to be discounted by on average 10%.
The insurer says the move was in recognition the economic environment in 2010 will continue to place pressure on its intermediary partners and their customers, as they look to maximise both value and efficiency. Ian McMullan, Managing Director of Canada Life Group Insurance said: "We recognise that Our CLASS portal is specifically designed to address these pressures. Therefore, we have discounted our CLASS Group Life assurance product in the small segment by on average 10%."
