Ignis appoints former McKinsey man as COO

Ignis Asset Management has appointed Tim Roberts as chief operating officer.

Roberts joins from McKinsey & Company, where he has worked since 1993, and starts his role today. Prior to joining McKinsey, he worked in investment banking at Warburg. Sitting on the Ignis board and the group's asset management executive committee, he will report to chief executive Chris Samuel, with both working together on strategy. During his time at McKinsey, Roberts built a reputation as an expert in strategy, transformational change and risk management in the asset management, insurance and banking and industries.
