Friends Prov raises with-profits bonuses after 'good year'

Friends Provident has increased some final bonus rates on its with-profits policies, and has removed MVRs on many of its products.

The firm says 2009 was a good year for its fund, with a gross investment return of 9.3%. Final bonus rates have more than doubled on some policies, including the FPLMA Series, where 15-year unitised personal pension plans will see bonuses rise from 11.4% to 24.1%. Regular bonus rates have been maintained on all policies. Most policyholders will see payouts increase by around 10% in February 2010 compared with February 2009.
