New PMI exam to be launched in April

The Association of Medical Insurance Intermediaries (AMII) and Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) have confirmed the launch of the new health insurance examination.

As expected it will take place on 28 April at AMII's AGM, where full details will be announced. Speaking in COVER's December issue, AMII Chairman Mike Izzard announced the date and noted that several providers had already agreed to promote the qualification to their broker facing sales teams. The objective of the new examination is to provide knowledge and understanding of the fundamental principles and practices relating to healthcare insurance and in so doing demonstrate professional standards to consumers to inspire their confidence and trust.
