PruProtect's second full year of operation saw it post new business figures of £13.5m (APE) up from £3.3m in 2008.
The provider's final results confirmed its good performance. It also received an increase in applications (up to 26,969 from 6,542) and in the number of advisers writing business (4,885 from 2,889). The joint venture between UK based Prudential and South African insurer Discovery has also appointed more than 20 new staff in 2010, include face to face IFA broker consultants, telephone account managers and national account managers.
