Bupa launches cash plan

Bupa has launched a cash plan which it believes will replace typical health insurance.

The private medical insurer says its Patient Cash product is designed to offer many of the usual benefits associated with health insurance and help people get prompt diagnosis and treatment. Bupa Patient Cash offers customers three levels of cover in five different sectors: consultations; in-patient hospital stays; day patient surgery in a hospital; physiotherapy, osteopathy, chiropractic or homoeopathy; and diagnostic scans. All levels of cover include 24-hour access to Bupa's nurse helpline which offers information and advice about any healthcare matter.
