Fortis Life UK has announced enhancements to its Protection portfolio, including the addition of the Best Doctors service to its Critical Illness, Income Protection and Real Life Cover plans.
The most significant changes are to its YourLife Plan Critical Illness cover. Fortis has confirmed that customers who already hold YourLife Plan Critical Illness cover will benefit from this round of enhancements. A new definition - Multiple System Atrophy - has been added to provide cover against this degenerative neurological disorder, while existing definitions have been improved as follows in order to make it simpler for customers to claim: Coma: The requirement that life support systems must be in use for 24 hours in order to meet the definition has been removed.
