Andrew Christian, the head of Hargreaves Lansdown's Vantage platform, has resigned from the group with immediate effect.
Christian, who joined Hargreaves in 1991, took over responsibility for all Vantage operations in 2003, while he is also a director of Hargreaves Lansdown Stockbrokers. His shareholding in the Hargreaves Lansdown remains subject to the lock up provisions he entered into when the Bristol-based group floated in May 2007. Christian has advised the board he has no intention of selling any of his shareholding in Hargreaves Lansdown in the near future, the group adds.
