Zurich is improving the underwriting service on its mortgage and family protection proposition.
The provider is aiming to improve the application process and make it more efficient for advisers and clients. For applicants aged 35 and under, it is increasing the level of life cover at which automatic medical evidence (nurse screen examination) is required, from £600,000 to £750,001, and it has also decided that general practioner's reports (GPR) are no longer needed for applicants seeking less than £1m of life cover (unless as a result of a relevant disclosure).
