ETFs tracking the Eurostoxx 50 index have outperformed the benchmark by 0.22 percentage points annually on average over the three-year period, according to Lipper.
The firm's latest research shows the range of 21 ETFs tracking the Eurostoxx 50 index constitutes one of the largest peer groups in the European ETF market, with assets under management of just over €19bn. Although Lipper estimates net outflows of €259m in the first half of the year, ETFs based on the Eurostoxx 50 still showed a healthy growth pattern, in the period between 1 July 2007 and 30 June 2010.
