Fidelity Special Sits added to Hargreaves Wealth 150

Hargreaves Lansdown has added Sanjeev Shah's Fidelity Special Situations to its Wealth 150 list of recommended funds.

While conceding Shah had big boots to fill after succeeding star Anthony Bolton in January 2008, Hargreaves says the manager has done an "outstanding job". "He sheltered his investors from the worst of the market falls during the banking crisis in 2008 and then captured the best of the gains since the recovery began last March," Hargreaves says. "We have been monitoring the fund closely and, following a recent meeting with Sanjeev Shah, we are now confident he has the ability to deliver strong returns."
