ETFs and exchange-traded products listed in Canada have experienced a growth in assets under management of 23.7% year-to-date, to reach US$35.3bn according to BlackRock.
The firm's ETF Landscape: Canada Industry Review through the end of Q3, shows assets under management says assets in Canadian ETFs and ETPs have increased by 8634.7% since the end of 1999, representing a compound annual growth rate of 51.6%. So far this year, Canadian ETFs and ETPs have seen net inflows of US$3.1bn, compared to US$7.1bn over the whole of 2009.
