Demand for protection products jumps 39% - Unbiased

The number of online search enquiries by consumers for protection products has increased by 39% since the beginning of the year.

In addition group protection searches have leapt 86%, according to Unbiased.co.uk. The IFA database website said that advisers must ensure their own websites reflect the additional services they offer when advising on life protection in order to maximise their ranking on such searches and highlight the importance of cover. Unbiased.co.uk said the results suggest that increasing numbers of people are researching ways to ensure their dependents are financially stable in the event of the main breadwinner's death, given the tough economic climate.
