Brokers spend 25% of time chasing lenders

Brokers spend on average a quarter of their time, equivalent to 1.25 working days per week, chasing cases or putting right errors, according to the latest research.

A survey by Charterhouse Research revealed 38% of brokers spend between 10% and 25% of their time chasing cases and correcting errors. A further 22% use 26-50% of their time dealing with such issues. In addition, the poll of 300 intermediaries also discovered 9% spend between 51% and 80% of their time hunting out cases and errors. Of these, 4% claim that chasing mortgage cases and mistakes takes up 75-80% of their time.
