Global mega-caps are attractively valued, offering an opportunity for the development of ETFs to track the asset class, Russ Koesterich at iShares says.
The issuer's global chief investment strategist says following the credit crisis, mega-caps have been underperforming and undervalued, especially quality companies with strong balance sheets. iShares set up its Global Investment Strategy Group in October last year in response to what it called "strong interest" from clients about the company's view on markets, appointing Koesterich to head the team.
