Standard Bank's head of Advisory Stockbroking, Neville Falla, has become the first person in Jersey to achieve The Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment's (CISI) new benchmark qualification.
The CISI Level 4 Investment Advice Diploma was launched last year and complies with the examination standards of the “Retail Distribution Review” (RDR), a core strand of The Financial Services Authority’s new consumer protection strategy, which is due to launch in the UK in 2012. The Level 4 qualification ensures that those advising and dealing in securities or derivatives, and advising on packaged products, have the knowledge and skills required under the FSA’s new retail market regulation.
