Cigna achieves OH accreditation

Cigna has become the first UK insurer offering occupational health services to gain the Safe Effective Quality Occupational Health Services (SEQOHS) accreditation.

As a voluntary accreditation scheme set up by the Faculty of Occupational Medicine the scheme is intended to support employers in selecting an occupational health provider. The UK Government has outlined in their Public Health Strategy for England that employers will be encouraged to contract only with service providers that meet the SEQOHS standards. Ann Dougan, marketing director at Cigna, said: "This accreditation is further evidence of our commitment to leading the way in occupational health services and we're exceptionally proud to be the first health insurer to achieve this."
