Skandia Investment Group (SIG) has appointed US-based DuPont Capital Management (DCM) to run the £100m mandate for its stand-alone Skandia High Yield Bond Fund.
DCM fund manager, Ming Shao, will manage the fund. SIG says this appointment highlights its ability to access world class fund managers that are not normally accessible to fund of funds' managers and, it believes, highlights the benefits to investors of the Group's "segregated mandate approach." A number of SIG's core funds uses the Skandia High Yield Bond Fund, including the international suite.
