Bupa launches free IPMI app

Bupa has launched a free iPhone and Android app to enable its international private medical insurance (IPMI) customers to access their policy information from anywhere in the world.

The MyCard app stores the customer's policy information on their mobile device and features translation capabilities for emergency pre-treatment authorisation. At present the app is available only for IHI travel customers, but the provider hopes to have full functionality for all IPMI customers soon. IHI Bupa customers have access to the company's emergency medical centre and the app will provide a direct link to this emergency helpline.
