Nearly half (49%) of people retiring this year are confident they will be able to afford to leave an inheritance despite on-going financial pressure, according to a survey from Prudential.
However, this perception is slightly down from 2011's findings, when 52% said they would be able to adequately fund their retirement as well as leave a legacy. This year's research shows one in 12 (8%) would cancel their plans for leaving assets behind if they struggle to make ends meet.
