Ex-Aviva chief executive Andrew Moss got married the day after shareholders revolted over executive remuneration.
Moss, who resigned yesterday over the backlash, took the day off work on Friday to marry his parter, former Aviva employee Deirde Galvin, the Daily Telegraph reports. As the civil ceremony took place at their Norfolk home he was making headlines in the national press over his pay package. At Thursday's annual general meeting 59% of investors voted against the board's pay proposals. Many were upset about what was perceived as a reward for failure as the company's share price had fallen significantly during his time at the top, the report said.
