F&C has launched a Junior ISA, giving access to its range of investment trusts for the 2012-2013 tax year.
The minimum investment per month will be £30, with an annual limit of £3,600, and the JISA can be set up and managed online. Children with the accounts will be able to make investment selections from the age of 16 and the JISAs will be rolled into an adult ISA once they reach 18. They will be open to UK resident children born before 1 September 2002 or after 2 January 2011, who did not qualify for a child trust fund (CTF).
