F&C appoints Wilson as chief executive

F&C Asset Management has appointed the head of its institutional business, Richard Wilson, as its new chief executive.

The group said Wilson - who has been at the group since 2004 - will become the new boss at the start of next year. Edward Bramson (pictured) has been acting as executive chairman in a dual role since the departure of previous chief executive Alain Grisay. The group said he will revert to non-executive chairman of the board following release of the Group's preliminary financial results for 2012.
