Barclays is due to announce it has awarded some of its most senior staff shares worth millions, according to reports.
The bank, which has been subject to criticism over its remuneration policies, is preparing to make the announcement to coincide with George Osborne's budget, Sky News reported. Despite announcing it would claw back more than £400m in bonuses this year, the news channel revealed Barclays head of investment Rich Ricci, its chief executive Antony Jenkins and outgoing finance director Chris Lucas are in line for awards worth millions.
