BGI veteran Tomlinson to join L&G

Lindsay Tomlinson is to join Legal & General (L&G) as a non-executive director from 1 May.

Tomlinson worked for Barclays Global Investors (BGI) for most of his career, becoming UK CEO in 1994 and the pan-Europe chief in 1996. He was later vice-chairman after it was bought out by BlackRock before retiring in 2011. He is also a former National Association of Pension Funds chairman and director of the Financial Reporting Council. At L&G he will join the nominations committee and the remuneration committee.
