Smith & Williamson's Burns positive on Europe, Japan and US

James Burns, head of the multi-manager desk at Smith & Williamson, said he sees investment opportunities in Europe, Japan and the United States (US).

Burns is manager of Smith & Williamson's £28m multi-manager Global Investment fund, £11.09m Cautious Growth fund - both funds of investment trusts -, and is also co-manager of the £34m Smith & Williamson multi-manager Endurance Balanced fund, a fund of open-ended funds. He said he is still overweight equities in his portfolios, despite the strong rally that markets have enjoyed over the past six months.
