The Isle of Man has signed two double taxation treaties (DTAs) continuing its programme of developing closer economic and taxation cooperation with other countries.
The Isle of Man’s Treasury Minister, Eddie Teare, signed a DTA with Luxembourg’s Charge d’Affaires as well as a Tax Information Exchange Agreement. Luxembourg is a member of the OECD Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax purposes. At the signing, Teare spoke on the importance of Luxembourg as a financial centre and how the signing of the agreement demonstrates the Isle of Man’s “continuing commitment to meet current international standards in tax transparency, effective exchange of information and the elimination of double taxation.” Teare also signed a DTA wi...
