Cazenove Capital's European manager Chris Rice has left the firm, ahead of Schroders' takeover of the group next month.
Rice, who has been at group for more than ten years, is the first big name manager to exit the group in the wake of the takeover by Schroders, which boasts a sizeable European equities team itself. Rice - one of the longest-svering european equity managers - will officially exit in July. Steve Cordell, manager of the Cazenove Pan Europe Fund, will assume responsibility for Rice's flagship £955m Cazenove European Fund and the Cazenove European Equity (ex UK) Fund following his departure.
