Legg Mason launches offshore version of Income Optimiser

Legg Mason has launched an offshore version of its Legg Mason Income Optimiser fund, also to be managed by Regina Borromeo.

The newly launched Ireland-domiciled Legg Mason Brandywine Global Income Optimiser is a mirror version of the onshore fund. The only difference is the onshore vehicle's obligation to have at least 80% of the fund in sterling under the rules of the IMA £ Strategic Bond sector, which the offshore fund does not have to follow. The two funds have a total return focus and aim to preserve capital as well as achieve a high level of income.
