Threadneedle has announced the shortlist for the sixth annual Threadneedle Prize, a competition for figurative and representational painting and sculpture.
The shortlist of six artists was drawn from over 3,500 entries for the £30,000 prize, with the candidates including a special effects artist and a former artist in residence at the Royal Shakespeare Company. An exhibition featuring 111 works submitted this year will open on 25 September at the Mall Galleries in London.
