Schroders is to launch a global equity fund for managers Nick Kirrage and Kevin Murphy investing in stocks they feel are primed for a recovery in value, Investment Week, IFAonline.co.uk's sister title, understands.
The group is planning to launch the Schroder ISF Global Recovery fund on 9 October, building on the pair's experience running the UK-equity focused Schroder Recovery fund. The duo's 'deep value' style will see them seek out shares from across the world that have suffered short-term setbacks but remain attractive on a long-term basis, in keeping with the style employed on their UK fund. Kirrage and Murphy (pictured) have already enjoyed success with the £422m Schroder Recovery fund, which is top quartile in the IMA UK All Companies sector over one, three and five years.
