IFAs are not at all confident in small and medium enterprises' (SMEs) ability to meet their auto-enrolment obligations, as just one in 100 advisers think businesses are well prepared for the move to work place pensions, according to a survey.
The poll, by business software and services provider Sage, of more than 200 UK IFAs also found just one in five agree that small firms are aware of auto-enrolment, despite the fact that by April 2015 around 8,000 businesses with between 50 and 249 employees must have their workers enrolled onto a workplace pension.
