Steve Webb remains "open minded but sceptical" about private income protection insurers becoming involved in the state welfare system.

Speaking at a New Statesman event in association with Zurich, the pensions minister (pictured) said he “struggled” to see how private sector insurance companies could play a role in the state welfare system.
