A handful of the UK's largest financial advice firms have decided to distinguish their businesses from rivals' by publishing their fees on their company websites.
Of the the 50 biggest advice firms in the country, as compiled by Matrix Solutions, just five disclose the cost of doing business with them, according to research by low-cost adviser Candid Financial Advice. But among those that have made the move to full transparency are some of the best-known and most powerful names in the sector. It includes behemoth Hargreaves Lansdown, ranked as the UK's second biggest advice firm in 2014 with gross sales of £6.6bn, and Brewin Dolphin, ranked third with sales of £2.5bn last year.
