Europe was the best-selling region for equity funds last year with record net retail sales of £4.5bn, up from £221m in 2014.
According to the Investment Association's year-end statistics for 2015, European equity funds saw the strongest sales in 2015, while UK equity products saw sales drop to £1.9bn from £5bn in 2014. Tracker funds also had a record year, as funds under management in these products hit an all-time high of £108bn while money market funds saw record net retail sales of £591m.
