Questions have been raised over the relationship between troubled overseas property scheme Harlequin and a claims management company acting on behalf of its victims.
A financial adviser, who has asked to remain anonymous, was forwarded an email from Daniel Dalligan, network sales director at Harlequin Hotels and Resorts, which was sent to investors on 6 April and has been seen by Professional Adviser. In the email Dalligan says "many investors" have re-invested their claim proceeds in Harlequin's Buccament Bay resort, with a view to buying a completed property unit. He suggests investors should contact claims management company The Claims Bureau, which would help them bring successful claims against their advisers with either the Financial Ombudsm...
