Morgan Stanley Investment Management has launched two balanced multi-asset funds focused on environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors.
The investment process for the two funds - Morgan Stanley Investment Funds Global Balanced and MS INVF Global Balanced Defensive - mirrors the existing Global Balanced Risk Control strategy, designed to maintain a stable risk profile. The two funds are the first in this suite to incorporate ESG factors into the process. The key between the two new products is the targeted volatility, with Global Balanced aiming for a range between 4% and 10%, while Global Balanced Defensive has a lower target between 2% to 6%.
