Advisers are engaging more and more in social media, according to the third annual social media usage survey by software provider Intelliflo.
The firm's research found three-fifths (60%) of the 143 advisers surveyed actively use LinkedIn, an increase on 2015 when just over half (53%) used the professional networking site. In all, however, almost three-quarters (70%) of advisers are involved in some form of social media activity for business purposes. In 2014, by way of comparison, research from Intelliflo found only a quarter (25%) of advisory firms operated a social media policy for their staff.
